After a challenging 18 months, our industry is slowly going back to full swing again.
Nail techs, friends and industry icons reunited after almost two years at the swanky Proud Cabaret Club, Embankment, for The Scratch Stars Party 20/21.
Featuring entertainment from Blue’s Duncan James and a sizzling fire performer, the evening saw huge celebrations as the Scratch Stars Awards winners 20/21 were revealed – and attendees took to the dance floor to let loose and bust some serious shapes.
In 2018, I was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.
The 'Services to the Nail Industry Award" was a special award to recognise someone within the professional nail industry who has over the last five years been dedicated to the growth and promotion of the industry and who has strived to improve standards and raise the professionalism of the sector. So imagine my delight when I had the opportunity to stand on the same stage to present this same award to the 2021 winner this year!
I was absolutely over the moon when I opened the gold envelope and saw my fellow CND™ Ambassador's name. Liza Smith has been an Ambassador for CND™ for almost 30 years, throughout the last 10 years, Liza has played a part in helping me become the ambassador I am today. Her passion and dedication to the industry is unquestionable, and she truly deserves this amazing award for her contribution to this beautiful industry.
I feel so honoured and humbled to be able to present the award to this wonderful woman who I am lucky to call a friend and who absolutely earned her place in this industry.
