ITEC QUALIFICATIONS

The ITEC international qualifications is internationally recognised in 39 countries around the world. ITEC provides leading international qualifications specialising in Beauty and continues to lead the way for the qualification delivery.

 

At Creative Academy London, we have partnered with ITEC to offer our students the best of both worlds. Students will be able to attend our award winning CND nail classes running with the CND education syllabus, achieve our CND official certificates and then also have the option to obtain the ITEC international qualification as an additional nail qualification. 

 

Currently, we have 2 ITEC full courses available:

- Level 2 Certificate in Manicure and Pedicure for those wishing to qualify in just natural nails.

- Level 3 Diploma in Nail technology for those wishing to learn all systems including enhancements.

Students will be attending the following classes:

 

1) CND Shellac 2 days Beginners Course

During this 2 day course, you will discover and learn the complete CND™ Shellac™ system and be well equipped with tips and tricks to provide the world's most wanted manicure to your future clients. Pre-class home study is added to enhance your learning and increase your hands-on time in class.

A detailed description of what is covered:

Home Study - You will receive a PDF version of the Shellac Pre-Read once your booking is confirmed. You will be required to study the Pre-Read and complete the online pre-assessment prior to attending day 1. The pass rate is 70%. You can take the pre-assessment as many times as you need.

Day 1 - Health and Safety, Contraindications, Natural Nail Anatomy, Preparation of the Natural Nail, CND™ Shellac™ Science, NEW CND™ LED™ Lamp

Day 2 - CND™ 5 Point Polish Method, Single Colour and French Polish Application, Removal

2) CND Spa Manicure Class

CND™ SpaManicure™ ft. RescueRXx™ Natural Nail Clinic will describe and discuss natural nail anatomy, explain the causes of nail damage and how to repair it with CND’s natural nail care offerings – CuticleEraser™, SolarOil™ and RescueRxx™. You will also learn the fundamentals of Care, Condition and Coat.

3) CND Spa Pedicure Class

During this class, you will be provided with understanding and techniques to increase your pedicure service options with CND™ Spa. You will be able to upgrade your pedicure services with exfoliation and unique massage techniques. CND's 4 step system will allow you to customise services with a choice of fragrance and add-ons for personalised results.

4) ITEC support Class

A one day class specifically designed to help you prepare for your ITEC practical and written examination as well as supporting and ensuring your portfolio meets the ITEC criteria.

1) CND Liquid & Powder 6 days Beginners course

The CND™ Liquid & Powder course develops your skills using our unique Retention+™ technology to create strong, durable enhancements with superior clarity and brightness and scratch resistant, ultra smooth finish. The pre-class home study is added to enhance your learning and increase your hands-on time in class.

Home Study - You will receive a textbook once your booking is confirmed. You will be required to study the book and complete the online pre-assessment prior to attending day 1.  The pass rate is 70%. You can take the pre-assessment as many times as you need.

Health and Safety, Contraindications, Natural Nail Anatomy, Preparation of the Natural Nail, Introduction to the Nail Shapes, Table Set Up, Liquid and Powder science and product overview, Mix Ratio, Zone Sculpting, Finishing Technique, CND™ 5 Point Polish Method, Tip Application, Application Practice, Elements of Good Design, Form Application, Sculpting on Forms, Removal, Vinylux™ Application, Rebalance and Removal.

 

2) Light Elegance 'Come On Over' Conversion Course

The 'Come On Over' course will provide you with fundamental techniques that will improve your Gel enhancement skills. The Lexy line is made up of 6 different hard gel products to allow the nail professional the complete control and creativity to achieve the perfect nail every time meeting very specific needs of their clients. By incorporating the Lexy Line into your services you can add structure, create nails of any length and shape and build beautiful nails that last over 4 weeks.

With a pink for every skin tone the Lexy Line is designed to suit every skin type and style. You'll get an introduction to the amazing high performance LE Gel colours, glitter gels and the advanced technology of the Buttercreams. You'll learn how to create the latest, on trend, most attractive nail art that will literally blow your clients minds!

 

3) CND Spa Manicure Class

5) CND Perfect French Class

Sculpting Forever French enhancements do not have to be difficult. During this class, you will perfect your application skills, learn new tricks and tips and leave the class with a love for French Enhancements.

 

What is covered on the day:
You will discover and perfect Classic CND™ Zone Sculpting, Reverse French Technique and refresh and refine your skills on proper nail plate preparation, product control, product application and finishing technique.

 

6) ITEC support Class

A one day class specifically designed to help you prepare for your ITEC practical and written examination as well as supporting and ensuring your portfolio meets the ITEC criteria.

 

** Please note that for both ITEC qualifications, you need still need to produce a portfolio of case studies and evidence of learning. You will also need to attend a practical and theory exam at the end to achieve the qualification. **
